    StorySide B "You’re Not Alone"

    September 30th, 2006
For anyone stuggling with mistakes they might have made in the past, here is a song that has given me hope in times of struggle. I hope you can feel comforted by it…

When I look at youI see your soulSo fragile and beautifulI know I have madeSo many mistakesI can’t deny I’ll take the blame

I wish I could healThat look in your eyesIf you won’t feel too compromisedSo I get downDown on my kneesAnd I hear you sayThese words to me

You’re not alone, You’re not aloneEven though you feel so far from homeYou’re not alone, You’re not aloneAnd if you just stop and look aroundYou’re not the only one

Are you feeling seperated from loveAnd the way you thought this life should beJust open your heartHear these wordsThat were said to meAnd say it to me

You’re not alone, You’re not aloneEven though you feel so far from homeYou’re not alone, You’re not aloneAnd if you just stop and look aroundYou’re not the only one

The Last Phone Number You Will Ever Need

    September 28th, 2006

GrandCentral is a brilliant new web app that lets you consolidate all of your phone numbers into one number, meaning someone can call you on your GrandCentral phone number and all of your phones will ring. And then it gets interesting…

I signed up and tried it, and it is pretty awesome. By default, they have what is called “Call Screening”, which means that the person who calls has to say there name, then when you answer, you can choose whether or not to accept it based on the name of who is calling.

It looks VERY promising, check it out!

Binge-drinking teenagers at greater risk of violence

    September 28th, 2006

“…They found not only a link between drink and aggression but also that children who drank were more likely to be hit, even if they weren’t violent themselves.”

This makes sense to me. If as a teenager, the reason you drink 9 times out of 10 is because of popularity. In other words, because they want to seem “cool”. If you are willing to do what you know is wrong, you will probably not be able to stand up for yourself in a physically violent situation. I would dare to say that most teenage drinkers have passive personalities, so they will let people do what they want to them, because they don’t want to let them down.

This is just my opinion, feel free to disagree in the comments…

Tested: T-Mobile GSM phones CAN unlock your car.

    September 27th, 2006

I have actually tried this, and it DID work. Essentially, if you lock your keys in your car, and you know someone with your spare unlock-remote-thingy, you are in good shape. All you have to do is call them up on a cellphone, and they have to click the unlock-button, and voila, it will unlock your car. Essentially, you are unlocking your car remotely through a cellphone.

    Interview with "The Fray"

    September 27th, 2006

The latest issuse of Relevant Magazine has a great interview with the band “The Fray”. One of the highlights of the article is the discussion of their faith. here is an excerpt from the interview:

How do you guys mix music/art and faith?

We’re all Christians, and we all come from Christian backgrounds. We grew up playing worship music in church. I learned to play drums in church. So we all come from a background of being raised in Christian families. “

Johnny Lang Interviewed on Becoming a Christian

    September 27th, 2006

Blues artist Johnny Lang recently sat down with Christianity Today to do an interview on his recent conversion to Christianity. It’s a pretty good read! From the interview:

“When people used to try to persuade me with the message of Jesus, I would say, ‘I understand that you believe that, but I don’t. He’s going to have to basically show up and let me know who he is, or I’m not going to believe it.’ And that’s what he did. He literally did that.”

Wizard of Oz to Dark Side of the Moon

    September 26th, 2006

Unless you had a poster of Jimi Hendrix or Pink Floyd on your dorm room wall, you probably only heard about this classic mashup - Now is your chance to see for yourself how the long standing rumor lives up. Did Pink Floyd orchestrate their album to the Wizard of Oz? Eitherway, it’s quite a match.
