**I realize that the date says December 15 on the phone. I took the picture today even though it has to do with yesterday. Deal with it.**
At work, I am in a queue. What that means is that calls come in to the center, and they are distributed evenly to everyone on the team based on if that person is available (not on the phone). So, every call that comes my way is completely random.
Thursday, I was sitting at my desk, and a queue call came in. I answered the phone and spoke with a lady in Jacksonville. We talked for about 15 minutes about what she needed, and what we can offer, and we were winding down the call when she revealed that her last name is Riggins. I said “Excuse me? Mine is too!” We both kind of freaked out when we learned that we have family from the same small town in South Georgia. It turns out that she and I are related, probably 4th or 5th cousins. We ended up having a great conversation about our families. I know it is a stretch, but still. Small world!
