Pay Per Post - A GREAT Tool For Bloggers

Almost a year ago, I signed up for the service called “Pay Per Post”. I had read about this idea on another blog, and it looked like a win/win situation, so I signed up. Here is the deal. You submit your blog to them. They have advertisers request blog entries on their product/service. I, as a blogger, find offers that look good, and I get paid to blog about it. Let me retype that in case you missed it. I blog about something and get paid a few bucks to do it. Maybe I am missing something, but why wouldn’t you sign up?

My experience so far with their service has been great. I have made a few posts (and been paid for all of them, I might add). I have seen what other people have posted, and that has provided inspiration as to how to earn more from them. PPP as a company promotes strong blog ethics, which I respect quite a bit. Finally, as someone who sometimes wants to write, but is drawing a blank with ideas, this service gives ideas on things to write about. These guys are here to stay.

So hey, sign up. You will love it!

David Crowder Band Makes It to #4 on iTunes Top 100 Albums

I think we all need to give a round of applause to David Crowder Band for their latest cd Remedy. Not only have they once again outdone themselves with an AMAZING cd, they have managed to make it all the way to #4 on the iTunes top 100 albums chart, as well as charting well in other publications. From Christianity Today:

David Crowder Band debuted high on the charts with the release of acclaimed album Remedy. Selling more than 32,000 copies, their fourth full-length album bowed in at No. 22 on the Billboard 200 and No. 1 on the publication’s Top Christian & Gospel Albums. Additionally, Remedy peaked at No. 4 on iTunes Top 100 Albums chart.

Again, if you have not picked this album up yet, please do. 10 songs of amazing music. It’s like love on an iPod. Yes, it’s that good.

Macbook Repair Update

Well, it looks like I am without my computer for the rest of the week. I took the Macbook into the Apple Store a few minutes after the previous post, and met up with a Mac Genius. He looked at it for a few minutes and determined it needed to be sent away to get fixed. Luckily it is still covered under the warranty, so it is free, but I am still without my Mac for a couple of days. I have this crap HP laptop I use at work, so that will have to do. I now know what it feels like to say goodbye to your child as they go to school for the first time.

This brings up another question. Another month or so and the computer would have been outside of its one-year warranty. I could get AppleCare for about $300, and that would cover it for 3 years I think. I am always a big advocate for getting the protection plan, and I really want to in this case, but I can’t afford the $300. Anyone out there have any experience with the paid AppleCare protection?

Macbook Fan Issues

I’m currently waiting for my appointment with a Mac Genius at the Apple Store Northpoint (GA). The fan on my macbook has been making VERY odd noises lately It’s like it’s trying to start, but just won’t, unless I hit it. I am no expert, but I dont think that is supposed to happen. Anybody deal with this before?me waiting on my appointment. I know, exciting.

Customize Your iMac

Colorware is a company that will sell you a customized computer/iPod/gadget with an after-market color of your choice, or customize one you have already purchased. The service (at least for the iMac pictured above) runs a cool $449, and there are a ton of colors to choose from (both front and back). Personally, I would have chosen a different color to advertise the service than what you see here, but to each his own. The brown looks nice, and would match my website.

Dreams

No, not the Cranberries song circa 1993 which made it to number 15 on the Modern Rock Chart.

This might be a bit of a random post, maybe ridiculous to some, but that is ok. I had a dream last night that involved people I know, and I remember it vividly. In fact, I often remember my dreams, and they usually end up being pretty random. So my thought is this: when you have a dream with someone else in it who is actually someone you know, do they ever have the same dream, only from their point of view in the story. Now, I know that sounds pretty dumb, and I know the answer to that, but sometimes I wish it was the case. For example, last night I had a dream that my company held a pool party, and it was a lot of fun. I remember one person in particular from the dream, and I almost asked her about it at work today. You know, I wanted to make sure she had a fun time at the pool party and all. My dreams are THAT vivid. So anyways, that is just a thought I have had at times. Ridiculous? Yes.
