What I do all day

No, I don’t look at my monitor and rock out to whatever is on my iPod. At least, not all day.

I use a program called WebEx to give virtual demonstrations of Nortel business phone equipment to potential customers (small businesses). That means several cameras set up in my cube at work all pointing at phones, etc. I can show how certain things are done on these phones, and 9 times out of 10, the customer loves it and wants to buy. The customer also can see me, which puts a personal touch on dealing with a massive company like the one I work for.

So, what do you do all day?

  • @Steve - Trust me, you wouldn't be the first. You know, the customer can see that!

@Jason - I do the same thing every now and then. And I usually will remove something if I don't know what it is. Then the IT department gets mad at me because it was something I needed running in the background.

  • Two days ago I was going through my Add/Remove programs list on my work PC, looking for things I had installed (an removing them if I didn't use them anymore). Anyway, I came across WebEX and wasn't sure if the company had installed it or it was some other crazy thing like spyware (the name is rather bland and vague sounding). So I googled it and saw that it was not spyware, and was likely from the company. They would have just automatically pushed it back to me if I had removed it, but it's funny that you use it every day; at least funny to me.

  • I would draw dirty pictures on the white board behind you. Haha.

  • If it wasn't 5:30 I'd post a full response - but I got to go pick up the wife! Hopefully tomorrow.
