The Shield - one of my new favorite shows

Over the last few weeks I have been watching a tv show called The Shield. In case you have never heard of it, The Shield is a tv show drama that follows a police strike team in very rough part of LA. From the very
first episode of the series, you are introduced to police corruption that even at the start of season 6 is not resolved. Also, you will see some A-List movie stars playing roles in this show (Glenn Close, Forest Whitaker)
What makes this tv show addictive is that it portrays a very real look at how things go down in urban LA. Being that the show is on FX, almost no theme or word is left untouched. I find myself wondering why I am cheering for people who I know are the bad guys, but with good intentions.
If you get a chance, check out this show. I am blown away every episode at how I connect with these people who all have their own demons they wrestle with, and how they are on a quest to make the world a little bit better, even if it as their own expense.

Most people that have seen both say that they are very similar. I have been meaning to watch The Wire now that I’m done with The Shield.
