Pancakes from Heaven = my AMAZING lunch
I just got back from eating at a little establishment called The Original Pancake House with some
friends. My lunch consisted of 4 pancakes and scrambled eggs. The eggs were good, but for now, lets focus on the pancakes.
You get 4 pancakes, each hand-crafted by an artist in the kitchen. These pancakes came out as just regular, unmodified pancakes. That is, until I took them to a new level altogether.
For starters, I spread butter on the top of each pancake, stacking each one after I would spread the butter. Then, using the side order of peanut butter and the side order of chocolate chips, I covered the other sides. Then, to top it off, I dumped syrup all over them. The end result was a stack of 4 pancakes covered in a butter/peanut butter/chocolate chip/syrup mix.
I think the best way to describe it is if you imagined what they serve you right when you get to Heaven. It was the most delicious lunch I think I have ever had. Healthy? No at all. But it was a nice treat. Here is a picture of my last bite (click to enlarge):
If you look closely, you can see a mixture of the melted chocolate chips and peanut butter.
All for $7, and I don’t even have to have dinner tonight!
