Energy Drink Review: “Amp Energy Overdrive”

I have to give credit to Jason for this one. On yesterday’s post, he suggested MDX (Mountain Dew Extreme) as an energy drink to try. I went to the store this morning on my way in to work and looked for it, but the only Mountain Dew- branded energy drink I could find was called Amp Energy Overdrive. It’s not what he suggested, but it led me to this one.
It is sort of like Code Red with a kick. It has a cherry flavor, and is actually pretty darn good. I know you have to have a little slack with most energy drinks, but this one has a great taste, and it certainly has helped wake me up.
I have one more to try this afternoon. We’ll see how that goes, but for now, I am happy with the Amp Energy.

Wow, I can’t believe I messed up so badly. I DID NOT mean to recommend MDX! I know it’s awfully convenient that I realize this AFTER you try Amp and like it, but I seriously was thinking of Amp when I mistakenly said MDX. MDX is an acquired taste (even after drinking it many times, I’m not that fond of it), but I liked Amp from my first sip. I’ve never tried the Energy Overdrive variety (mostly because I’ve been choosing sugar free when I’ve bought Amp lately) but now I’ll have to give it a try.
I love the happy shots grouped with the sad shot. Seriously, that’s funny stuff.

Yeah, well it was really good, so no harm done! If you like Code Red, you will like this. It is very similar, only you can walk on walls after drinking it. It’s really good stuff! Glad you like the pics!
