Choose (and remember) Great Passwords
Apr 30, 2008 Found Online, Internet

Here is a great article on how to choose more secure passwords for all of the websites you visit. If you are anything like me, you could probably use a boost in your security. Maybe I should stop using “1 2 3 4 5″ as my password for everything.
Anyways, here is a clip from the article on choosing the “base” part of the password:
The first letter of a phrase or song refrain. For example, if you wanted to use the famous Jackson 5 song “I Want You Back”, your base password might be “IWUB.” Remembering the password is a matter of singing yourself the song.
So once you have that, you can customize it with other info. For example, if you used “IWUB” as the base, you could take the 1st three letters of the name of the website you had a password on. So for amazon.com, your password there could be IWUBAMA. Get it?
That’s just one idea of many. For the rest, go read the article.
