i bought an Art & Lutherie two months ago and i'm having a great time with it. i am a drummer, so it's nice to be able to "play" music (my drummer buds will kick me for that). i spent a few days shopping guitars and settled on the Art & Lutherie. It's made by the same company that makes Seagulls and Godin electronics. The necks of the Seagulls I tried were pretty wide and thick and to get one with pickups was just outside of what I wanted to spend for my first guitar. Great list and info though!

Dustins last blog post..dustimus: @bnpositive ~ Clifty Falls (which hopefully is a noun and will not be used as a verb after our camping trip)

We homeschool and I am thinking about trying to talk my wife into both learning it herself and trying to teach the boy...I will remember this list when the time is right.

it's worth it! I started playing about 13 years ago, and it's been awesome the whole time. It's not too hard to learn the basics, so give it a try!
