3G iPhone rumors are apparently true
Jun 7, 2008 Technology, apple
On Monday, Apple is expected to announce the new iPhone at WWDC. Rumors have been flying around for months about how it would be different than the currant one, and the 2 biggies were that it would be 3G (high speed internet), and have built-in GPS.
Both of these add-ons would make it such a HUGE contender in the smartphone market, so these being true is big news. For me, having built-in GPS would be just plain awesome, especially if they can tie it in with location-based advertising. For example, if I am in the city, my phone can show me the nearest whatever I’m looking for to me instanatly.
Anyhoo, the folks over at Engadget have received some details from the firmware (the software that the new phone will run), and according to that, it looks like those rumors are true. I will spare you the technical details, so for more, head on over to Engadget.

If I don’t get drunk tonight, I won’t be able to sleep a wink.
The suspense is KILLING me.
