RagamuffinTop Challenge week 4

Well, folks, here are the results of this week’s weigh in.  Last week, I weighed in at 286.6.  This week, I tried to run more, even to the point of injuring myself so I couldn’t compete in a 5k.  But that being said, here are the results:

After a week of eating healthy and walking/jogging, I am down 4.8 pounds!  I now need to make sure I can continue this trend.  So, here are the overall numbers:

  • Starting weight: 289.0
  • Current Weight:  281.8
  • +/-: -7.2

    Most excellent!

    Are you finding yourself feeling better…more positive?

    I have been limiting my soda and snacking a lot. I can’t completely give up my Mt. Dew, but I am not keeping one at my side at all times. At this point that is where I make my stand. My wife wants me to “try” diet stuff. I have and they are gross. Even the Diet Dr. Pepper and whatever vile syrup she throws in front of me.

    I do feel better, both physically and mentally. Knowing that I have needed to do this for a long time and finally am is a boost to the ol’ self esteem.

    As far as snacking and stuff, I usually indulge in Fiber One bars. Those things are so good, and taste almost like a candy bar. Drink-wise, I’m really into unsweet tea with Splenda in it. And, Diet Mtn Dew isn’t THAT bad!

    @Jay @Jess - Thanks, I appreciate it! Since my foot is hurt, I haven’t been able to work out any this week so far, so I hope that doesn’t affect the weigh-in!
