Man loses 80 pounds by eating only at McDonald’s

No, not by eating that.
A man in Virginia decided that eating McDonald’s was a convenient way to eat, so he did it for a few months. And the results?
Chris Coleson tipped the scales at 278 pounds in December. The 5-foot-8 Coleson now weighs 199 pounds and his waist size has dropped from 50 to 36.
He did it by eating wraps, salads, and the Apple Dippers they have (minus the caramel dipping sauce). The result was some pretty serious weight-loss!
There is a common misconception that you can’t lose weight if you eat out all the time. I know from personal experience that you really can, and it isn’t even that hard. I eat out more than I eat in during the week, and it’s really just a matter of what you order.
McDonalds has grilled Snack Wraps, which are actually quite low in fat and calories. They are filling, and about $1.50 each. Subway has tons of choices for healthy eats, as do most other restaraunts, both fast food and sit-down.
I think the hard part comes when you see other things on the nenu that you really want. You know, the loaded cheese fries or the platter of hot wings. If you are really hungry, you might fall into that temptation and before you know it, you have wing sauce all over your face and you feel guilty.
So I guess the takeaway form this story is that if you go out, you still can eat healthy. Look up the menu online and pick out what you want before you get there. Then, there is less time to change your mind.

Honey, I gain ten pounds just by thinking about going out to a restaurant. There is absolutely no way this would work for me…just ask my stomach.
But you’re right; places nowadays have lots more healthy things to eat and choose from. You just have to educate yourself a little and NOT ORDER THE HOT WINGS…(Adam)

I cannot resist the French Fries there. I make McDonald’s off limits due to that particular weakness. I could eat a five gallon bucket of them in one sitting.

I totally eat less when I eat out than I do at home. This is mostly because when I cook at home, I’m just cooking for me and none of my really good recipes are just for one. I know I should separate the meal into portions and freeze the rest. But I inevitably end up staring at the rest of the food and eat a lot more than I should.
So ya, eating out is MUCH better for me.

I SOOOO wish that I liked to cook, but eating out is so much more convenient (and usually tastes better)

Those snack wraps are pretty good - maybe that’s what I’ll have for lunch today. I like eating at Wendy’s off their dollar menu. Hmm, salad, baked potato, chilli, chicken sandwich…second thought, maybe I’ll go there.

well I went with McDonald’s today. Haven’t eaten there for quite a while but the wraps were pretty tasty.
