As you my know, Don LaFontaine, the movie voice guy, passed away a few weeks ago. I came across this video tribute to him. What a legend!

at first i didn’t know who he was, but the moment I heard his voice i recognized him. How cool would that have been for him to do your voice mail answering machine!

I don’t know if you’ve ever noticed how incredibly difficult it is to mimic the exact range of the way he says “In a world”. The guy had an incredible depth to his baritone octave which allowed the bottom to drop out of “world” without it sounding too air-ish. Just something else to think about when you realize the talent this guy had for something that seems very simple.

@Mackie - No kidding, I have done my horrible impression of it for a long time now, and it is so far from how well he did it.
