Check this out. Battered, deep fried bacon served with gravy:

At Risque Cafe, 3419 N. Clark, country-fried bacon ($6) is on the appetizer menu. Raw bacon strips are put in an egg wash, dredged in a heavily peppered flour and then deep fried in vegetable oil… A white gravy is served on the side.

So let me see. $6 for deep fried bacon and gravy. Um, ok, I’ll take 2! Is this beautiful to anyone else?

Risque Cafe?!? Isn’t that the “WE BARE ALL!” place known for their excellent soups and catfish buffet?

I’m not a huge bacon fan. I can eat it for breakfast and on the jr. bacon cheeseburgers at wendy’s but that’s about it. It’s salty to me and I don’t like salt. My roommate loves bacon and always gets it if it’s an option somewhere and to be honest, watching her eat sometimes makes me a little sick (lots of bacon and well, any other meat piled high). I’m not anti-meat but there’s a limit for me I guess.
