BigRigg Challenge : Week 1 weigh-in

Well, it was the first week of the BigRigg Challenge, and I weighed in this morning.  Here are the results:

Maybe I should not have had Taco Bell for dinner the other night.  In fact, there are a few areas I can pinpoint that might have led to a small number as my loss.  I did jog twice, which of course is always good.

So, I lost 1.2 pounds.  I am cool with that because hey, it’s a loss.  Maybe I can double that number next week.  Here are my stats:

  • Initial Weight: 241.4 lbs
  • Weight after this week’s weigh-in: 240.2 lbs
  • +/- : -1.2 lbs
  • Total lost: 1.2 lbs

Good luck to everyone else, and make sure you link to your weigh-in in the linkbox down below!  OR, just leave some info in the comments!

hey guys....luv this lil group of like minded people.....lost 3lbs even this week.....staying at about 1600 cals on average daily....thx for all the encouragement & good luck to everyone......Raul
  • do you find yourself hungry throughout the day? I think that is a struggle of mine. I try to keep it at around that number too, but I sometimes end up getting hungry and throwing caution to the wind. Next thing I know I'm at 2200 or so.

I keep a lot of safety snack foods here at my job and at home. Lite yogurt (80-100cals), Apples, Oranges, sugar free snack packs (80-100cals) & whenever I feel hunger I drink a large glass of cold water, at least 24ozs before I eat. Sometimes the water can by me another hour or so......if u keep making those little smart choices a couple of times a day they result in 1000's of calories you trim off of your weekly totals.
  • I'm totally trying the water thing today before lunch!
  • Adam, you want me to comment here?

From last Monday, I'm down 1lb on the scale. From 4 weeks of working with Dr. Bloom, I'm down 7lbs on the scale, down 10lbs of body fat and up 3lbs of lean protein muscle.
    Current weight: 180
    Current body fat: 38.6%
  • You can if you want to, but my tweet was referring to the little "Mr. Linky" box underneath this blog post, right before the comments. It allows you to post a link we can all click on to se eyour results.

    Great job with your loss!

Bad start to this week thus far. Mexican Saturday night and Crackerbarrel last night. Thankfully my next "business meal" isn't until tomorrow lunch. Subway salads here I come...I can do this! WE can ALL do this! Too much at stake NOT to. Healthy eating to everyone in the Challenge!
  • Mom, when we go to Subway this week, I might actually *encourage* you to eat healthy. I know, a change from the normal "Go ahead and get the Meatball sub".
  • The ever increasing numbers on the scale tell me I'm in. *grumble, grumble* I'll be posting on my Tumblr, which has been looking for a reason to live. I've put my introductory post there. I'll do my first weigh in tomorrow morning and post asap. http://corrineinreallife.tumblr.com/post/237728...
  • Good luck today with the weigh-in!

Well, I weighed in this morning. I'm down 1 pound (my scale measures in 1/2 pound increments. I'm excited about it!! Thus far, a total of 1 pound lost! My hope is that next week will also be a loss. I'm in for a challenging week, in that I have a lot of breakfast and lunch appointments. Those are usually killers. But, I've scheduled in my workouts, so I won't have an excuse NOT to workout!
  • That's great mom. Looks like I owe you dinner this week :)

Hey, that's fantastic Adam! Keep up the good work. Yeah, Taco Bell might have had a part in it. But, that's OK. Good job!
  • A 1.2 weight-loss is a great weight loss. 1-2 pounds is healthy weight-loss, its not too little, its perfect! Good job and keep up the good work!!
Remember it took a long time to gain the weight, its going to take a long time to lose it. If you try to loose too fat, it won't last long, slow and steady wins the race! =)
  • thanks for the comment! Yeah, I don't want to lose too much too fast.
