I just finished LOST and I am crying

**if you haven’t watched tonight’s episode, DO NOT READ**

That was one of the best episodes of LOST I think I have ever seen.  It answered a lot of questions, and REALLY tugged on the heart strings.  In fact, I was crying during the phonecall between Penny and Desmond.  It feels like something I have been waiting for for so long has finally happened (Desmond making contact with Penny), and we now know why Penny was looking for the island at the end of season 2.  That might be my favorite overall episode yet!

I would give a full synopsis, but I am really tired.  Tomorrow I will post a link to the best synopsis in town.

I love this show!

So, Kate has Aaron… What about Claire?? (LOST Question of the Day)

**Do not read until after you have watched the most recent episode of LOST (4.04)**

For those of you that just got done watching LOST, what is your theory of the very end of the episode?  Kate never had a baby, instead, she is Aaron’s mom now.  But what about Claire?  Is she going to get the axe?

Also, do you think Aaron counts as one of the Oceanic Six?  He wasn’t born until AFTER the crash…

What an episode!

Knight Rider, a.k.a. the “2-hour Ford commercial”, sucked (mostly).

Granted, it is still on as I type this, but with half an hour left, it had better pick up. I had such high hopes for this movie. As a kid in the 80’s, Knight Rider was a part of my life. I had the bed sheets. I had the racing set. I had the K.I.T.T. bigwheel. I even sat in the actual K.I.T.T. at an auto show (where I also got Elvira’s autograph, but that is another story)! So going into this, I was hoping that they would have gone all out for such a remake. For the most part, they failed.

knightridergt500kr1.jpgFirst of all, the acting is horrible. I know this is a tv-movie, but we are dealing with a television classic that demands a little respect. Val Kilmer is an ok voice for K.I.T.T., but it is hard to compare it to the original guy (only known to me as Mr. Sweeney) . The rest of them are forgettable.

The music almost feels like it is trying to be too modern. The opening theme song was a pretty good version of the original, but the constant techno music during the action scenes was a bit much.

Every commercial break during the 2-hour presentation featured a Ford commercial starring the actors in the movie. That just feels so cheap!

**EDIT**

The movie is over. The final action sequence was pretty badass (The SUV crashing into the side of K.I.T.T.). I have to admit, that redeemed a lot of the movie. Also, David Hasselhoff showing up for the funeral was a great touch. So I guess it wasn’t as bad as I originally made it out to be.

I think the best was to summarize it is this. Thee story leading up to the final action scene was slow and predictable. But the last quarter was almost like watching the Knight Rider I know and love. I think if they made this into a series where each week, Mike and K.I.T.T go on a mission, Kit does a “turbo-boost” and other cool stuff that only he can do, we will have a winner on our hands.

Also, we need more ‘Hoff.

Which LOST Character am I?

Brotha!  Well, at least I go down in a blaze of glory.

Which character are you?

The Writer’s Stike is OVER!!!!

“A deal has been struck between the major media companies and the Writers Guild of America to end the writers’ strike, former Walt Disney chief executive Michael Eisner revealed on CNBC. “It’s over,” Eisner said. “They made the deal, they shook hands on the deal. It’s going on Saturday to the writers in general.”

I have figured out LOST (well, part of it)

Mark this post as the one that called it. I have a theory that makes sense in the grand scheme of things concerning the show LOST.  Are you ready?

As we know, the REAL Oceanic Flight 815 crashed over the island, and there were many survivors.  It has been said many times that no one can ever find the island, or even see it for that matter.  In fact Ben one time said “Not even God can see this island”.   So basically, Oceanic Airlines lost an airplane with 300+ people on it.  That is a lot of lawsuits waiting to happen.  So what did they do about that?

They took another airplane and filled it with dead bodies and crashed it into the ocean near Fiji or wherever they said they found it.  Yeah, I know that sounds far fetched, but it either that or they crashed a plane full of living people, but I really doubt that.   And as we learned in tonight’s episode, that wreckage was found, dead bodies and all.  Case closed.

That is, until someone noticed on the news that the person that was portrayed to be the pilot of the plane in the news footage was not really him.  He said the pilot always wore his wedding ring.  The dead body in the news footage had no ring on. All this does is confirm my theory thus far.

What we haven’t seen yet is the part of my theory that I think is right.  At some point, “Oceanic Six” will make it back to America, and they will be celebrities of a sort.  They will be the six people that miraculously survived the horrific crash.  The ONLY people that survived.  But the truth is that there are several other survivors on the island still, and Oceanic Airlines is somehow blackmailing the Oceanic Six to not tell anyone about it.

Jack confirmed this in the Season 3 finale where he says to Kate that he is sick of lying to everyone.  Also, last week, this theory was confirmed when Hurley asks Jack if he is “going to tell anyone”.

So, in conclusion, Oceanic tried to cover for the fact that they lost a plane full of people by downing another plane, but there are a pesky 6 that know the truth, and they are being bribed to not tell.  We’ll see if it plays out like that, but it makes sense!

What are your thoughts?

5 Awseome new mysteries of LOST - Friday 5

For this week’s Friday 5, I will be focusing on the world’s greatest tv show - LOST. The season 4 premeire was last night, and it introduced some new mysteries that I know will be answered soon, but not soon enough. So here we go. And, if you don’t want to be spoiled, then STOP READING!

1. How in the world was Jack’s dad in that cabin in the woods?darkufoimage2919.jpg

When Hurley is in the woods, he stumbles upon the creepy cabin in which Locke “experienced” Jacob in season 3. Hurley has never seen the cabin or heard of Jacob, so he has no idea what it is. He goes to look in the window of the cabin, and there is a man sitting in a chair. The man sitting in the chair is clearly Jacks father Christian. The only thing is that Christian is supposed to be dead. Is he Jacob? Is he the smoke monster? What the heck?

2. Who is this creepy guy?

During Hurley’s flash-forward, he ends back up the the mental institution.  As he is playing Connect-4, a man comes to visit him.  This is a very mysterious man who we have not seen before.  Here is great commentary on that scene:who.png

That whole scene was a total creepfest. From start to finish, you knew the guy was totally OFF. Think back to the episode where Mr. Eko died - think back to his last visions of Yemi. Remember that moment? The moment where Eko realized he wasn’t really looking at his brother? Abbadon had that same look. That same startling, bug-eyed, blood-chilling ‘Yemi-stare’. “Are they still alive?” – he says it with the same toneless inflection as Yemi asking Eko to beg forgiveness. His look is just nuts. (DarkUFO)

Maybe that guy is the smoke monster.  Maybe every mysterious person is the smoke monster.  My head hurts.

3. Is Charlie really dead?charlie.png

Again at the mental institution, Hurley is sitting outside drawing igloos, and someone comes up to him and says that there is a guy staring at him.  Hurley looks up, and it is Charlie.  Charlie died in the Season 3 finale trying to save everyone, so this makes this an awesome mystery.  The fact that someone else saw Charlie makes it seem less likely that it was just an illusion.  Also, Hurley asked Charlie questions that Charlie answered, and I don’t think Hurley would have made up answers to his own questions.

4. What makes Jack go from happy to be off of the island to crazy-obsessed about going back (season 3 finale)?

In the finale of Season 3, we learn that Jack has gotten off of the island and plunged into a downward spiral of drugs and alcohol.  Something has made him want nothing more than to go back to the island.  He says that it was a mistake that they ever left the island.  Enter Season 4.  We see Jack visit Hurley at the mental institution, and he seems happy and relieved to be off of the island, just like Hurley.  That makes me wonder what he learns in between those two scenes that makes him want to go back so bad.  What does he learn about the island that makes him do the 180?

5. What are they lying about?

Back to Jack visiting Hurley… As Jack is leaving, Hurley asks him if he is “going to tell”.  Tell what?  What secret are they keeping?  In the Season 3 finale, Jack tells Kate that he is “sick of lying”.  What in the world are they lying about?  Maybe Oceanic Airlines is involved in a huge cover up of the plane crash, since apparently the wreckage was found with the bodies.  Maybe Oceanic is paying them off to not tell the truth- that there were many survivors and that the plane was not at the bottom of the ocean.  Whatever it is, I think it is BIG.

So there you have it.  If you have not watched LOST, go rent the dvd’s.  It is such an amazing show, you will be hooked!
