The 10 Most Memorable Indiana Jones Moments

    May 19th, 2008

I don’t know about you, but I am beside myself in excitement for the new Indiana Jones movie coming out this Thursday. So, in preparation for this event, make sure you check out this list of unforgettable moments from the past movies. For example:

    8. “The mine chase” from Temple of Doom
While The Last Crusade was the installment that spotlighted chase sequences, it was the breathtaking mine chase from Temple of Doom that was most exciting.

All 10 of these really got me excited about the new movie, so enjoy!

    Elevator conversation of the day

    May 19th, 2008

**As the scene opens, I am getting on the elevator to go up to the 5th floor where I work. I am holding the door for a woman that obviously is doing the same thing. The woman approaches**

Woman (in all seriousness): Are you going up?

Me: Uhh, we’re on the first floor.

    Woman: O, right.

R-Rated trailer for “The Happening” = WOW

    May 16th, 2008

I have posted about this movie before. As you know, The Happening is the latest movie from M. Night Shyamalan, the guy who gave us The Sixth Sense and Signs. This new trailer shows just how scary and awesome) this movie is going to be.

BE WARNED. It is a rated-R trailer, not for language, but for VIOLENCE. And trust me, it deserves it. Good luck:

The Happening hits theaters June 13, 2008.

An inspiring story… but read closer. WHAT?

    May 15th, 2008

There was a story yesterday on Yahoo news about the worlds most obese man.  Basically, he was going to try and also hold the record for the most weight lost by a single person.  He has already lost over 500 pounds in the last 2 years!

So his birthday is coming up, and he hopes to get out of the house for the first time in a whiol.  Check this out:

Now weighing 717 pounds — the size of three hefty men — Uribe is still unable to move his swollen legs but hopes to get out of the house next month for only the third time in six years to celebrate his 43rd birthday.

He will still be in bed, hauled onto a tow truck for a trip to the mountainous countryside outside his home city of Monterrey in northern Mexico. It will be a rerun of a failed attempt in March that was thwarted when his bed hit an overpass.

Wait.  What?  His bed hit an overpass?  Does that give anyone a funny visual in their head like it does mine?  O well, at least he’s ok!

    Long-Distance Recording

    May 15th, 2008

Here’s a darn cool idea.  Patrick Witherow and I are going to record a song together.  Only, apart.  What I mean is that he is going to record the drum tracks, then send me the recording.  I will then try and do the rest.  Hopefully, during the recording process, I will be able to stream live video of everything.  Follow me (and him) on Twitter for updates!

The Cool Down - The best way to end a shower

    May 14th, 2008

Friends, one of life’s most frustrating things is when you get done taking a warm shower and you are drying off.  Sometimes, the room is so steamy or just hot in general that it seems you just can’t dry off.  This is especially true in workout clubs.  You shower, then try and get dressed for work, all the while under pressure from everyone else in the locker room.  It’s just not a pretty picture

Well, I have found an easy solution to this dilemma.  It’s called  “The Cool Down”.   The Cool Down is a process by which after you are done with your shower, but the water is still running, you gradually turn the knob closer and closer to the C (for cold).

Example:  You decide to work out before work.  You get done with thshower, e workout and hop in the shower.  Rinse, wash, rinse.  Now, instead of turning the water off and getting out, turn it just a little toward the cold setting.  You will feel a small difference, but it will still be warm.  Keep it there for a few seconds, then inch it a little closer to Cold.

You keep doing this, and eventually, the water will actually be cold, but since it was a gradual process, your body is instantly used to it.  Give yourself an extra 2 minutes or so for the whole process, but you will see that when you get out of the shower, your body is very cool.  It’s very refreshing!

Give it a try and report back.
