QuickGold = my favorite iPhone app so far

**Disclaimer: This app is ony available for jailbroken iPhones. That being said, there is almost NO reason to not jailbreak your phone. You can still get all the Apple Store apps, but also a bunch of others that really expand the functionality of the iPhone.**
With an iPhone, there are a lot of things you can do: send a text message, make a phone call, compose an email, launch an application. Sometimes, to do certain things, it can take several steps just to get there.
Enter QuickGold. At it’s most basic level, QuickGold is an application “launcher”. In other words, just start typing what you want to do, and QuickGold does the rest. If you have ever used Quicksilver on a Mac, it’s the same idea. Here’s how it works:
Once installed, if you are at the “home” screen on your iPhone, all you have to do is hit the “home button” once, and it brings up the QuickGold interface:
Just start typing something, and it will show you anything on your phone that matches what you have typed:
Once whatver you want pops up, you click it and it launches. if you click on a contact, you get a menu that lets you easily send a phone call, an email or a text message:
I’ve only been using this for a couple of days, but it really speeds up the process for doing things like sending a text message.
