My favorite feature of IOS 5.0 on the iPad is the split keyboard.  It makes typing with your thumbs while holding the iPad extremely easy to do, much easier and faster thumb-typing than before.  To split the keyboard, all you do is drag it apart with  your fingers, and that’s it.  Until you drag it back together, it will pop up separated every time the keyboard comes up.  I love it!
